random things I just learned about myself...("just" as in right before I started typing)

1. I always put lotion on in this order; right leg, left leg, right foot, left foot, left arm, right arm- hands. (in the shower... I use that that order too)...

2. I talk out loud- to myself... quite often.

3. I don't put toilet paper in the bathroom upstairs. I'd rather go downstairs to use it, than be in a restroom downstairs and have to go upstairs for the last roll of toilet paper. (dumb? I know... all in all it's the same amount of walking).... but if you think about it... if I NEVER put toilet paper upstairs, I don't have to sit around and wonder, "hm, is there 1 last roll upstairs?" I already know the answer to that question. "no, ain't none upstairs."

4. I write A LOT... and I save most of it. Even if it's something that takes only 15 seconds to write, chances are- I have it saved on my computer somewhere.

5. I hate talking on my cell phone b/c the screen gets really hot and I feel like my face is melting off.

6. I correct people's grammar all the time, but don't you ever in your life, correct mine. I will hurt you.

....these are the revelations of today- I'm sure there are more to come.

To Whom It May Concern,

Although the common perception is that the majority of Huntsville residents have left home for the holidays, there are indeed residents that remain in Huntsville both to live and work.

After a 10 hour shift at work, I come home to a FULL BLOWN band rehearsal from apartment #28. Granted band rehearsal is a frequent occurrence, typically ONLY with a guitar, THIS particular session not only lasted from 5:58 pm- 6:21 pm…. It included a FULL OUT drum set… symbol and all.

I encourage passion. I support those who have talent. Be that as it may, my walls don’t. I don’t want to come home from work and have to listen to any type of band through the wall. If I wanted to hear a band, I’d go to the Fox… or maybe even Shenanigans… but not in the comfort of my own living room.

They can play! Boy can they!!..... but I don’t want to hear it.

Please address the situation because next time, I will bypass apartment management, and make sure they receive a ticket for a noise complaint from the Huntsville Police Department.

Thank you.

I’m sure this isn’t just a concern of the back residents of apartment #28. Truth be told, it can be heard from almost anywhere within close proximity of this apartment.

Again, thank you for addressing the issue.

Sincerely,

A resident who hates noise

OH WAIT!!! It’s 6:42 and I guess they think it’s time for an encore performance because they have thus started with the drums, AGAIN!!!!!!! DAMN IT! :)

I guess I'm blogging now...

So apparently, I'm a blogger now... but you know what, 4 me- blogging was inevitable. I knew it was coming… I guess I was just waiting for the day when I finally became inspired to actually do so. My inspiration now, comes from Facebook. I get quite a few messages and comments from random ppl that my status updates always put a smile on their face so I figured; “Man, I could be hella-funny w/unlimited space!” And yes… I actually said that out loud.

Truth is; I say a lot of shit out loud.

Anyway, I’ve been writing for a long time. When I was little, I used to write on notebook paper and keep it in a Trapper Keeper. When I was mad @ my younger sister I would write really ugly things about her and then later when I wasn’t mad anymore, I’d go back and write on top of it with a thick permanent marker, “The Devil made me write this!” and throw it in the trashcan.

I’m starting to think that I came out the womb w/a pen in my hand. The walls of my Mom’s uterus are probably “graffiti-ed” w/random baby-thoughts all over it. (When she dies, I’m going to have them cut out the inside of her uterus out so I can see for myself. I’ll blog about it when I’m done. You know I like taking pictures, so I’ll try and capture the moment via photo as well.)

So, I’ve been writing in a journal for as long as I can remember (like I said, even in the womb.) so I guess an electronic journal only makes sense for me.

I guess what I’m hoping for w/this blog is to share the ridiculousness that is my everyday life(you know, all the shit that won’t fit in my status update.) I promise 2 shock. I promise 2 entertain. I promise 2 put the FUN back in dysfunctional.

dysFUNctionally yours,
TJF
